Women leading climate action is the flagship platform of the Women’s Climate Leadership Initiative dedicated to advancing women’s leadership in climate policy, finance, and innovation.

 

Our vision is to see women at the center of the continent’s most critical decisions, defining the trajectory of climate resilience, energy security, and socio-economic prosperity for a global-leading Africa. Africa stands at the precipice of a dual transformation: a massive energy transition and the integration of the world’s largest free trade area (AfCFTA). While women constitute the backbone of Africa’s economic and agricultural sectors, their leadership and participation must be strengthened in shaping climate, energy, and trade policies that drive the continent’s economic resilience and climate response.
